Dr. Jorge Chahla Named a 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctor
Jorge Chahla, MD, PhD, has been selected as a 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctor in recognition of his work in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
Castle Connolly Top Doctors are nominated by other physicians and evaluated through a physician led research process. Doctors cannot nominate themselves. According to the Castle Connolly nomination criteria, each nominee undergoes a formal review before selection. The evaluation considers professional qualifications, clinical expertise, academic appointments, research leadership and reputation among peers.
“To be recognized by fellow physicians is especially meaningful,” Dr. Chahla said. “I am grateful to my colleagues, my clinical team and the patients who trust us with their care. That trust carries a responsibility to keep improving every aspect of the patient experience.”
Dr. Chahla is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. His Chicago practice focuses on complex knee, hip and sports related injuries.
He has particular expertise in ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage restoration, multiligament knee injuries, hip arthroscopy and joint preservation. His approach combines advanced surgical techniques with coordinated rehabilitation, performance assessment and individualized recovery planning.
The Castle Connolly Top Doctor recognition adds to Dr. Chahla’s growing list of national and international distinctions in patient care, orthopedic research and medical education. It also provides patients with an independent, peer informed resource when searching for an orthopedic surgeon or sports medicine specialist in Chicago. For Dr. Chahla, the honor reinforces a simple priority: helping every patient return safely and confidently to the activities that matter most.
